Roscoe and the backyard boys

First off I want to thank you for taking the time to look over my proposal for a new children’s television and video gaming series. The series is and interactive adventure that is guaranteed not to disappoint.
The series follows four characters the main character is Roscoe Williams, there are three other semi main characters. These other boys are Roscoe’s neighborhood friends three brothers by the names of Mike, Matt, and Chris. Together these four boys get in to all kinds of fun trouble and learn life lessons along the way.
Overview
The boys live in Philadelphia and have many things to learn and many obstacles to overcome. They are a band of close-nit misfits who would rather be playing pick up football than going to school. The boys are all thirteen years old and have all sorts things going on in their lives. Lets face it navigating your teenage years is a rough and tumble world full of embarrassment, laughter, and coming of age. There is a rival girls gang that lives in the same neighborhood that the boys are constantly battling with. The girls call them selves the Daisy Ladies. The group is comprised of Roscoe’s younger sister Lilly, and her two friends Allison and joy.
Middle school is a tough time there’s so much to live through and some many new things to learn. In one episode Matt has a dilemma, he wants to join the play but his brothers and Roscoe tell him that the play is for sissy’s. Matt struggles with what to do while being ostracized by his team. A chance meeting with Philly’s own Will Smith helps Matt decide to do the play and he ends up stealing the show and changing the gangs mind about performing arts.

Roscoe- This is the main character, he is 13 and has lived at 1703 w. master street his entire life. He lives with his mom, dad, and younger sister. He loves to play football, baseball, and skateboarding. His best friends are the triplets from down the street Matt, Mike, and Chris.
Matt- Matt was the first born so he has decided he is the oldest, this feeling causes constant bickering between the brothers. The other two say they were all born at the same time but Matt insists he’s the oldest. Matt is the tallest of the gang and very athletic
Mike-Mike is quieter than the other two of his brothers. He’d rather be inside working on his computer than anything else but he is just as likely to be found in a tree or playing sports.
Chris- Chris is the charmer, even though the gang fights with the girls he is an open womanizer. Constantly trying to get the girls to kiss him Chris gets himself into all kinds of trouble. Kind of the Eddy Haskell of the group but more likeable than Eddy and more genuine. Chris is a soccer star.

Joy- Joy is new to the area she moved here last summer. She is the princess of the group, daisy is a prissy girls girl who is more interested in dating Roscoe than she is in annoying him.
Sample Episodes
Will Sis- Matt has a dilemma, he wants to join the play but his brothers and Roscoe tell him that the play is for sissy’s. Matt struggles with what to do while being ostracized by his team. Trouble with guns- The boys are walking home from the bus when Roscoe notices something in the gutter. He investigates and finds the object to be a gun! The boys think it’s a toy at first until they pick it up and figure out its real! The boys are so scared the run and hide the gun in their fort. The boys don’t want to get in trouble for having the gun and don’t know where to turn. The boys talk to their guidance consoler who then helps them get in contact with the police and get rid of the gun safely. The cop has a talk to the boys about gun safety and what to do if this happens again.

The show will be an animated series that runs in two part episodes. Each mini episode will be roughly 15 min. in length.

The other tie-ins will include a mass video game objective, we want to sell council games made specifically for ps3 and Xbox. In addition to this we are in the process of creating a website which will contain many free games. Also we have decided to add a game disk with every toy sold, this will increase website traffic and banner hits.
